TODAY IS MINE

Today is mine. It is unique. Nobody else in the world has one exactly like it. It holds the sum of all my past experiences and all my future potential. I can fill it with joyous memories or ruin it with fruitless worry. If painful recollections of the past come into my mind or frightening future thoughts, I can put them away. They cannot spoil the day for me - because it is mine.

MAKING A CHANGE

Changes come as come they must for that's the way things go. That is how our minds develop, that is how we grow - learning how to walk along an unfamiliar way - readjusting, rearranging life from day to day.

There'll be points of friction where the harness that you wear - presses on a tender nerve and makes it hard to bear. Face the challenge. Know that it will work out for the best. Grooves are graves. Don't be afraid. Put courage to the test. Now you feel you've lost your bearings. Everything looks strange - but maybe someday you'll be thankful that you made the change.
